Dr. Gavin attended Georgetown University in Washington, DC for medical school and his orthopedic residency. After that he completed a knee and shoulder fellowship in New York City with one of the most prestigious practices in that field, the ISK Institute. Dr Gavin was then awarded a trauma fellowship in Switzerland where he studied the latest medical techniques for fracture fixation.
Dr. Gavin returned to the Washington DC area to practice for the Anderson Clinic for 3 years before moving to Loudoun County. He has been an active member of the community throughout his time here. He serves as a team physician for many athletic events including high school sports, steeplechases and polo matches. Dr. Gavin is Chief of Orthopedics at StoneSprings Hospital and is on the Board at Loudoun Ambulatory Surgical Center.
Dr. Gavin has been a member of the medical team for the New York Knicks, World Cup Soccer, professional tennis matches, and the Marine Corps Marathon. He has also been involved in local triathlon organizations.
